How to make your own chocolate. It’s raw, it’s healthy, and it’s easier than you think. |

A year ago I went through a discovery stage in my life, which led me to find a way to eat raw chocolate. I did not know how to make it at the time, but with a little bit of research I found out that I could. Since then I have been eating raw chocolate every day and I’m loving it.  Some months ago I decided I wanted to teach others (because chocolate is one of those things people love but tend to get scared of) how to make their own raw chocolate.

If you don’t already know, raw chocolate is not like the chocolate you find in the supermarket. Raw chocolate is made from cacao beans that are not roasted. The end result is a chocolate that is high in antioxidants and contains a higher percentage of cocoa butter than regular chocolate.

Did you know that you can make your own chocolate, right in your own kitchen, for a fraction of the cost of buying it? It’s raw, healthy, and as easy as you think; you’ll be making raw chocolate in no time.. Read more about make your own milk chocolate and let us know what you think.

So you – or someone you care about – like chocolate. That comes as no surprise. What is unexpected, though, is that chocolate may be a healthy meal.

That’s true, we’ve written a lot on the health advantages of eating chocolate. (Especially the type with a lot of chocolate.)

Here’s a little more on that:

For the time being, however, our goal is to manufacture our own chocolate.

The kind of chocolate that we benefit from isn’t the milk chocolate that many of us refer to as “chocolate.” That is, in fact, “candy.”

No, the kind of chocolate that we can benefit from is super-rich, high-quality, low-sugar chocolate with at least 85% cocoa.

However, there are certain drawbacks to this kind of chocolate.

  • The first is that it is often difficult to locate.
  • Then there’s the difference in flavor between better and poorer quality.
  • Finally, the higher-end brands are often more costly.

To address these problems, Kaisa, a member of the community, decided to offer her favorite raw chocolate recipe.

Raw cocoa is the initial stage.

Cocoa beans that have not been roasted are used to make raw chocolate.

Because roasting alters the molecular structure of cocoa beans, the enzyme content decreases and the total nutritional value decreases.

Unfortunately, unless otherwise indicated, commercial cocoa (and the chocolate produced from it) is manufactured from roasted cocoa beans.

As a result, instead of using roasted cocoa, this recipe uses raw cocoa. There is a significant difference between the two.

The components

The materials (and quantities) you’ll need to create your own raw chocolate are listed below.

  • cocoa butter (1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil (virgin)
  • 1/2 cup organic cocoa powder (raw)
  • Sweeten with 1/4–1/2 cup agave syrup (organic honey, stevia, or raw cane sugar are all OK; alternatively don’t use any sweetener at all)

Some of these ingredients will no longer be available at your local supermarket. So make a call to a local natural food shop. If it doesn’t work, you can always order the ingredients from Sunfood.

Additions suggestions

The aforementioned fundamentals now form the basis of your formula.

However, if you want to spice it up a little, here are some suggestions.

  • powdered lucuma (sweetener, also makes the chocolate more milk chocolate like)
  • powdered berries (blueberry and buckthorn berry in the photo)
  • powdered purple corn (high antioxidants)
  • nibs of cocoa
  • Goji berries are a kind of berry.
  • berries that have been dried
  • raisins

  • nuts, almonds, and seeds, crushed

Let’s get this party started.

Here are the methods to make raw chocolate on your own.

Step 1.

Half a cup of cocoa butter should be grated. When grated, it will melt more easily. 1/2 cup coconut oil should also be measured.

Step 2.

In a small, heat-safe cup or dish, combine cocoa butter and coconut oil. Then, in a shallow pan, put the cup or bowl in a tiny quantity of heated (but not boiling) water. Stir in the oil and butter until it’s completely smooth.

Step 3.

To make 1/2 cup cocoa powder, sift together 1/2 cup cocoa powder and 1/2 cup If you want to add any other dry ingredients, now is the time to measure them out and combine them with the cocoa powder. I used 1/4 cup lucuma powder and 1 tbsp. maca in this recipe. Natural vanilla or vanilla extract may also be used in this recipe.

Step 4.

Pour the dry ingredients into the mixing bowl with the melted butter and oil. Continuously stir until smooth.

Step 5.

Pour 4-6 tablespoons agave nectar into the chocolate mixture and whisk to combine. If you haven’t already, you may skip this step.

Adding sweetener if desired

Step 6.

Check the quality with someone. Meaning, taste the chocolate to see whether it’s sweet enough. At this stage, you may add the other ingredients, such as chili/cayenne, dried fruit, nuts, and so on.

Step 7.

Fill a skillet, plate, or ice cube tray halfway with melted chocolate. You may also sprinkle some of the toppings on top of the chocolate to make it seem more appealing. Place the chocolate in the freezer for 30 minutes or the refrigerator for 60 minutes.
