Keto Success Story: Shannon is Crushing Keto & Helping Others

There are many people who are trying to LOSE weight but can’t seem to get the body they want. Many of those people start to take a low-carb approach that involves eating high fat in order to lose weight. I have been that person for so many years. I’ve tried Paleo, Atkins, and countless other low-carb diets. I’ve lost weight numerous times, but it has always come back. I have put in more hours in the gym, I’ve learned more about nutrition, and I have finally found a low-carb approach that has worked for me. I have gone from a size 18 to a size 4, and I have lost 40 pounds. In the past year, I’ve taken it to the next level.

“I was really nervous about trying keto, especially at my first attempt. I tried keto for 15 days and lost 5 pounds. I was very happy with that, but I wanted to see how I would do over 30 days and actually CRUSH IT! I did. I lost another 35lbs in total and I have now lost over 100lbs. I absolutely love the lifestyle and I am helping hundreds of people do the same as me. I couldn’t have done it without the help of my husband and my coach. Thank you!”

What drew you to keto in the first place?

For the last five and a half years, I’ve been on a ketogenic diet. The primary motivation for me to begin exercising was to reduce weight. I found that I was six feet tall, a bit overweight, and that I was weary and irritated all of the time.

The keto diet transformed my life and taught me that I needed to break the vicious cycle of carbohydrates, sugar, and caffeine in order to become a better version of myself. I had to reconsider what I was feeding my body, and I had to accept that comfort food is not synonymous with comfort. He was really pitiful.

I dropped 27 pounds and my sugar cravings in a matter of weeks. I felt invincible! People began complimenting me on how wonderful I looked and asking me, “What are you doing?” I couldn’t wait to tell everyone the solution! Keto was and continues to be the solution. I’ve dropped almost 40 pounds and am in better shape than I’ve ever been!

What were your biggest triumphs and setbacks along the way?

I’m pleased of my current fitness level as well as the fact that I’ve lost over 40 pounds. It’s much amazing than I had hoped! I hit a weight-loss plateau many times throughout my battle, but each time I did, I just tried different methods to assist my body shed weight.

I began sharing my experiences with relatives and friends once I had some success with the keto diet. Frequently, I got letters asking, “How can I make it ketonic?” As a Keto Genius, I started guiding friends and family members through the Keto diet’s early phases, overcoming plateaus, and eventually achieving their weight goals. I even helped one of my closest friends drop 150 pounds by coaching her!

My 73-year-old father, who has dropped over 80 pounds after more than 20 years of diabetes, was also taught. On the keto diet, his A1C level fell from 9.8 to 6.2. He went completely keto and recovered his health, to the point that his doctor removed his insulin! Nothing makes me happier than hearing about individuals whose lives have been totally transformed by the keto diet.

What motivates you to remain on track?

The strange thing about keto is that you come for the weight loss and stay for the incredible NSC (or unstable gain). Even though I’m stuck in a weight loss rut, I’m still reaping the benefits, such as increased energy, a better mood, and the disappearance of a fog in my head that I didn’t even notice existed until it was gone.

The list is extensive… Purer skin than ever before, increased stamina and libido, improved sleep, peace and clarity like you’ve never had before.

What are some of your favorite keto-friendly dishes or foods?

Bone broth is one of my favorite keto meals, and my fave keto recipes are all my own! I enjoy this diet since I can create almost any keto dish, so I don’t have any cravings.

I’ve been able to find my own energy scales since starting this trip. These are the ones that make you feel totally satisfied, as opposed to sad when dieting. I even produced my own cookbook last year!

What advise would you offer to someone who is just starting out on a keto diet or is having trouble sticking to it?

Begin with baby steps! To begin, cut off all starchy carbs and sugary items from your diet. Eat genuine food and learn to read labels so you know precisely what you’re putting into your body. Make tasty keto meals to make it seem like you’re following a diet plan!

When people ask me what their meals should look like, I tell them to check up the hashtags #MeatButterVeggies, #EggsButterVeggies, and #SeafoodButterVeggies.
