It’s officially Sangria Season! Also known as my favorite time of year. I typically prefer white sangrias to red sangrias (though if red is the only option, I will drink that too). Since it is almost summer, I thought I would celebrate with my two favorite summer fruits: peach & strawberries. And what better way to celebrate than with this Peach Strawberry Sangria. Rather than making a carafe for myself (though I have been known to drink an entire bottle of wine), I decided to portion it out so that I can make just one glass at a time.
This recipe is inspired by a drink I had the other day while out for my fiance’s birthday dinner. To wash down the extremely delicious juicy burger I had, I chose to order the girliest drink possible: Ginger Peach Sangria, where one of the ingredients was ginger beer.
I had never had ginger beer before, and it was surprising to me how well it went with the white wine. When I left the restaurant, I went straight to the store and bought all the ingredients to recreate it. (Note: I used a hard ginger beer, though you can use non alcoholic ginger beer too). I must warn you, this drink tastes so good that you won’t even realize how much alcohol is in it.
Hope you enjoy!
