Honey BBQ Shrimp |

I was a little hesitant to try this recipe because I was worried it wouldn’t taste like the sauce we had right from the marinade. I was wrong, this sauce is so tasty, and the flavor from the honey and soy sauce is just amazing. Honey BBQ Shrimp is a great dinner recipe, and a great way to make your shrimp taste even better.

Honey BBQ Shrimp | Recipe

Honey BBQ is one of those combinations that seems so simple it must work. Sweet honey and savory BBQ sauce are a great pairing, but ribs can be difficult to cook and can result in dry meat. Why not use honey as a “glaze” for the ribs?

Honey is one of my all-time favorite tastes in the whole universe. Its sweetness, rich richness, and the fact that it will never deteriorate, even if kept in a cupboard for years, all combine to make it a dependable seasoning. Today I’m sharing a recipe for BBQ Shrimp with Honey that may be served throughout the winter or summer. Honey BBQ Shrimp: How to Marinate

Shrimp marinating in honey is a simple process that does not take a long time to complete. Shrimp are flavorful and excellent when served with a mild sweet taste, such as honey. To marinate, mix the shrimp, honey, vinegar, and olive oil in a ziploc bag and marinate for 30 minutes to 24 hours in the refrigerator.

These guys cook fast once marinated. The honey’s sugar caramelizes on the shrimp, while the barbecue sauce adds tang and spice. You don’t have to put in a lot of effort to get excellent taste; all you need to know is how to bring it to life.

Shrimp Peeling Techniques

While you may purchase peeled and deveined shrimp at the supermarket, you may need to peel your own shrimp on occasion. It’s a simple procedure that takes just a few minutes of your time.

To begin, peel the shrimp from the legs to the tail on the underside. You may stop after the final section that covers the tail’s end. Make a tiny incision in the shrimp lengthwise from the head to the tail with a paring knife. Remove the black vein in the shrimp with the knife. Your shrimp have now been peeled and deveined. This post is an excellent resource with excellent instructive pictures.

What kind of shrimp should I buy?

As someone who grew up in New England, I like smaller shrimp since they have the greatest texture and flavor. If you’re purchasing frozen shrimp, choose for small-medium sized raw uncooked shrimp. Large shrimp may be used in this recipe, however the marinating and cooking durations may vary owing to their greater size. The texture of larger shrimp is harsher than that of tiny shrimp (but don’t worry, they’re still tasty!)

What is the best way to defrost frozen shrimp?

  • Frozen shrimp should be kept in their original container in the freezer.
  • Put the appropriate quantity of shrimp in a ziploc bag and place in the freezer.
  • Place the ziploc bag in a cold basin of water and immerse it. To keep the bag immersed, you may need to weigh it down with another dish or a kitchen item.
  • In 10-15 minutes, the shrimp should be thawed. The shrimp should be used the same day.

This dish is one of my all time favorite shrimp recipes. It’s not too traditional, but the combination of honey, soy sauce and garlic is one of my favorites.
