1 hour 15 minutes to cook

1 hour 25 minutes total time

Ingredients

Regarding the Chicken

  • 3 pound breast of chicken
  • 1 quart of Buffalo sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon Cholula de Chili Lime
  • 1 tsp Scotch Bonnet Pepper Sauce (green)
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon of lime juice
  • season with salt and pepper to taste

To make the wraps

  • 6 big bibb or iceberg lettuce leaves
  • Gorgonzola is a kind of gorgonzola cheese.
  • carrots, shredded
  • tiny slices of celery, cut
  • ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing

Instructions

  • Preheat the Sous Vide Precision Cooker to 150 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Trim the chicken and season it to taste with salt and pepper. Put everything in a big Ziploc bag.

  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (I use Frank’s), honey, chili lime Cholula, green scotch bonnet pepper sauce, and garlic are combined in a mixing bowl. Over the chicken, pour the sauce.

  • Seal the bag and put it in the water bath using the water immersion method. Make a one-hour timer on your clock.

  • Take the chicken out of the Ziploc bag and set aside the liquid. Using two forks, shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces.

  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted in a large sauce pan 1/2 cup buffalo sauce, 1/2 lime juice, and the liquid from the saved cooking liquid Bring to a boil, then reduce to a low heat.

  • Stir the chicken into the boiling sauce to properly coat it. As required, adjust the taste.

  • Place 1/2 cup shredded buffalo chicken in each lettuce leaf for the lettuce wraps. Carrots, celery, gorgonzola, and your favorite dressing go on top.

Notes

If you don’t have a Sous Vide, you can make this dish in a slow cooker, but I’d still suggest buying one if you want juicy chicken.
