It’s time to choose a new book for the book club!

We selected Southern Keto by Natasha Newton for the Keto Diet Book Club in April. This book seems to be a typical ketone-friendly cookbook packed with great southern cuisine dishes at first sight, but believe us when we say it’s much much more!

Who knew the ketogenic diet could be so straightforward?

Natasha makes keto extremely approachable, covering lifestyle fundamentals, a shopping guide, switching low-carb items for normal non-keto meals, menu planning, and, of course, delectable indulgent Southern-inspired dishes that will satisfy your hunger without suffocating you with carbohydrates.

Natasha also discusses her own experience with food limitations as a child, which led to her overeating and weight gain. She went to the keto diet in search of a healthy answer after extreme diets brought her additional health issues, and the keto diet successfully removed her sugar addiction!

Southern Keto wants to highlight the importance of cooking as a labor of love and a part of their treasured traditions. This cookbook will encourage you to think outside of the box while making their dishes and to enjoy the process of cooking!

What to look forward to in this month’s book:

We didn’t have any homework to read for Southern Keto, such as the Obesity Code. Instead, we looked at recipes for blueberry muffins and hushpuppies, as well as Natasha’s South Keto material, and discussed our main takeaways.

We hope you’ll join the conversation in the comments area or in our exclusive Facebook group, where many of our readers have already read the book. Please share pictures of your culinary creations with us if you attempt any of these recipes!
