We’ve all seen them before—those heaping platters of fried mushrooms, bathed in an oily fryer grease. These things are not only a bad idea, they’re also terrible for your health . But, if you just take the time to air fry your mushrooms instead of using a deep fryer, you can get the same crispy texture without all those unhealthy fats and calories.

I used to never eat mushrooms, but after seeing them at the farmer’s market one day I decided it was time to try them again. So, I picked up a bag, and I really didn’t know what to do with them. I had some mushrooms that I picked up from the field, so I thought, “I’ll deep fry them in olive oil and some salt, and then put them in a potato pan with some butter and some garlic.” That sounded pretty good to me, and I tried it. It was okay. I thought it was really salty. The next time I made the recipe, I used a little less salt. The third time I made it, I cut the salt in half, and that was the best way

Air fryers may not be the dream appliance for most of us, but I have found that, when I use an air fryer, I never get tired of cooking with them. They’ve never let me down, and I always get the same good results. I hope you have the same experience with yours.. What mushrooms are the healthiest?

In the end, any mushroom is a fantastic, nutritious option. The greatest fiber is found in oyster and shiitake mushrooms, which contain approximately 2 grams per serving. Vitamin D levels are greatest in raw maitake mushrooms and portobellos that have been exposed to UV radiation. White mushrooms, which are the most frequent, are also available with increased vitamin D levels.

I’ve been using my Air Fryer a lot lately, and I’ve noticed a few things.   First, my favorite Air-Fryer recipe is fried garlic mushrooms.  But I also love to cook other things in it, like chicken thighs, steak strips, and some vegetables.   So, I decided to try making garlic mushrooms using the Air Fryer.  It was super easy, and I’m really glad I kept a few extra panko bread crumbs on hand in case I had any trouble.   I thought the results were pretty good, and I’ll definitely add this Air-Fryer recipe to my list of favorites.   I hope you enjoy it!.
