Ingredients for Banana Muffins

3 Medium Bananas — Use soft spotty brown bananas that aren’t excellent to eat for this. For baking, they have a lot more taste and sweetness.

2 Eggs — Make sure your eggs, as well as the rest of your baking materials, are room temperature.

a half-cup of brown sugar

1/3 cup oil – melted butter may be used in this recipe. Use an oil that has no taste, such as canola, sunflower, or vegetable.

1 tblsp Vanilla Extract

Flour, 1 1/2 CUP

1 teaspoon of baking powder — This recipe calls for both baking powder and baking soda. Don’t use one in place of the other since they’re distinct components with different functions.

1 teaspoon of baking soda

1 teaspoon cinnamon — Cinnamon is optional, but it gives the muffins a nice warmth and depth of flavor.

a half teaspoon of salt

Banana Muffins: How to Make Them

Place three medium-sized ripe spotty bananas in a medium-sized mixing dish. Mash the bananas with a fork or a potato masher until smooth.

Toss in two medium-sized eggs into the mixing basin.

Toss in 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar with the bananas and eggs in the mixing bowl. White granulated sugar or maple syrup may also be used.

1/3 cup neutral oil, such as canola, vegetable, or sunflower oil Melted butter may also be used as an alternative.

Finally, for the wet components, pour 1 tsp vanilla extract into the mixing bowl.

Combine the wet ingredients in a mixing bowl with a whisk until well mixed. While working on the dry ingredients, set the bowl aside.

1 1/2 Cups (190g) flour, measured in a bigger mixing basin

1 tsp baking powder and 1 tsp baking soda, combined

Baking powder and baking soda are two distinct substances that should not be substituted for each other since they operate in different ways.

1 tsp ground cinnamon, measured out For a deeper flavor, use 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg or 1/4 teaspoon cloves.

With a wooden spoon, quickly combine the dry ingredients.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients’ bowl. Fold the banana muffin batter together with a wooden spoon just long enough to remove any dry flour.

It’s important not to overmix the mixture since this will result in harsh, dry muffins rather than light and fluffy ones.

Divide the banana muffin batter into 12 cupcake liners using a cookie scoop. It should come up approximately half-way or two-thirds of the way. Alternatively, the muffin pan may be oiled to eliminate the need for cupcake liners.

Place the cupcakes in an oven at 180°C/350°F for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and spring back when gently pushed.

Allow to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.

Without a doubt! This is a fantastic method to repurpose bananas that would otherwise be thrown away. Allow them to become brown and patchy before peeling or freezing whole. Before using in the recipe, let the bananas to come to room temperature.

Is it necessary for me to create the crumble topping?

Although the crumble topping for the banana muffins is optional, I believe it is well worth preparing. It adds a little more crunch and texture to the muffins than regular banana muffins. If you want, you may leave them simple or add chocolate chips, walnuts, or pecans to the batter.
