  • flour (three cups)
  • 2 tsp tartar sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • a half teaspoon of salt
  • 1 cup apples, peeled and coarsely diced

TOPPING

  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  1. To make the topping, combine the sugar and cinnamon. Remove from the equation.
  2. With an electric mixer, cream the butter and sugar until creamy (1-2 minutes). Set aside after adding the egg and vanilla.
  3. Combine the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in a separate basin. Slowly add the dry components to the wet ingredients and blend on low speed until well mixed.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, add the apples and stir until thoroughly mixed.

  6. Roll each dough ball in the topping ingredients until it is completely covered. Place the cookie dough balls on a cookie sheet that has been buttered. Bake for 10-11 minutes at 350°F, or until the cookies are gently browned. Before attempting to transfer the cookies to a wire rack, let them to cool for at least 15-20 minutes on the baking sheets. You can also eat them with a spoon while they’re still warm. And a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

M is my third kid, and she has a really unique personality. She can be the nicest little thing one minute and then be a snarky and obstinate jerk the next. She’s been amusing our family with her sense of humor since she was a newborn – she’s a total goofy with the faces to prove it!
