Vindaloo Chicken is a famous Indian curry dish popular in Goa, the Konkan, and other areas of the country. It’s a mainstay of Indian restaurant menus and curry houses throughout the world in its British Indian version, and it’s generally considered as a spicy meal.
The name “vindaloo” is derived from the Portuguese “meat in garlic wine marinade,” and it is a staple of Goan cuisine, typically prepared with pig. The preserved raw materials, wrapped in wooden barrels of pork and garlic and soaked in red wine, formed the foundation of the Portuguese meal.
Every time I prepare this Vindaloo chicken, my whole family raves about it, and my relatives often ask, “Can I have one more chicken piece?” Vindaloo Chicken is spicy, acidic, and somewhat sweet.
