Last night I made a leftovers ham casserole recipe that my sister-in-law gave me. She always makes a ham casserole the night before she needs it and then reheats it all day at work. I thought, if she can do this, I can too. This is the easiest recipe ever. All you need to do is cook a ham, chop up some vegetables and mix it all together. After dinner you just pop it in the oven for a few minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. This recipe is so easy, and it is so much better than just throwing everything into a big bowl and going to bed.. This Easy Leftover Ham Casserole Recipe is delicious and creamy, and it’s ideal for the ham you’re sure to have on hand in the coming days. This casserole is the epitome of comfort food, and it’s very easy to prepare. The combination of egg noodles and vegetables transforms leftover ham into something fresh and delicious!
I don’t cook with egg noodles very often, and every time I do, I wonder why I don’t do it more often. They’re delicious and light, and they’re ideal in a comforting meal like this. They also appear to keep their wetness and don’t dry out when reheated in a meal, which I enjoy. You may also use frozen vegetables in this recipe, which eliminates the need for planning. Do you have any turkey leftovers? It’ll be just as tasty if you split the amount into half turkey and half ham.
Is there any alternative meat I could use in this casserole?
Absolutely! This casserole’s components are pretty universal, and it may easily be combined with leftover chicken or turkey! Just keep the component proportions and cooking time the same! The remaining components will go nicely with a variety of meats.
Is it possible to prepare this casserole ahead of time?
Yes! Everything except the baking may be done ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to 48 hours before baking. If the mixture is chilly, bake it for a further 8 minutes to ensure that it is completely heated. Because all of the ingredients have already been cooked, all you need to do now is ensure that they are evenly heated.
