Greeks are truly the masters of food. When it comes to dips, spreads, and sauces, they have some of the best! Greek-Tzatziki-Sauce

If your family is like mine, serving a “dip” with supper makes everyone happy! My kids discovered this creamy sauce on one of our numerous visits to Zoes Kitchen, one of our favorite places. I decided to develop my own recipe so that people could enjoy it at home with veggies, pita bread, or Greek Chicken pitas. This takes just a few minutes to prepare, and the ingredients are typically found in my refrigerator and pantry.

Is this prepared in the same way as traditional Tzatziki?

This is our take on a traditional recipe. Tzatziki is traditionally prepared using Greek yogurt. In our recipe, I used sour cream and mayonnaise since they are two ingredients I usually have on hand! 1 cup plain Greek yogurt may simply be substituted for the two.

Can I keep this in the fridge for a long time?

I suggest keeping this sauce in the refrigerator for no more than 3 days. It’s not a good idea to put this sauce in the freezer.
