Learn how to create Jamaican-style beet juice juice. Beet juice may be consumed in two ways. This is a simple recipe!
Jamaican beetroot juice is often prepared in two ways: one sweetened with milk and the other flavored with ginger, lime, and sugar. Your beetroot juice choices have now expanded, and both are delicious.
Growing up, I was never a fan of veggies, but for some reason, I always like the flavor of my grandmother’s vegetable beverages.
I would drink the juice of carrots, pumpkins, breadfruit, and tomatoes but despise eating the veggies. However, as an adult, I like my veggie in both forms!
How to Prepare Beet Juice
A few beets, lime juice, ginger, water, and a sweetener are all you need to create a Jamaican beetroot drink without milk. My grandmother used to prepare this drink by blending all of the ingredients together, but now that technology has advanced, I use a juicer.
My grandmother’s beetroot juice tastes different from how I prepare it since I don’t have to add water when I use a juicer, which makes the beetroot more powerful in my drink.
Despite the fact that I typically prepare my beetroot drink without milk using a juicer, I’m sharing my grandmother’s technique for this dish.
Out of the two, I believe Jamaican beetroot juice with milk is my favorite. My grandma used to leave the beetroot pieces in the juice when I was a kid, and I used to enjoy nibbling on them.
Even though she wouldn’t while preparing carrot and beetroot juice, I recall my grandmother boiling the beetroot before using it to create the drink.
I made the drink with both cooked and uncooked beets, and I prefer the flavor and texture of the raw beetroot.
However, with this dish, I followed my grandmother’s instructions and boiled the beets first.
Apart from the delicious flavor, there are many reasons to try beetroot juice: it is high in fiber, iron, and a variety of vitamins. Other health advantages include improved digestion, decreased blood pressure, and reduced diabetes risk.
