Salted Honey Sweet Potato Fries

I had never had sweet potato fries before the other day. While I’ve had sweet potato pie and sweet potato mash in the past, I never had sweet potato fries, and I was curious what they would taste like. I had seen them mentioned on Pinterest, and decided to make them for dinner one night after I was already tired of cooking.

Salted Honey Sweet Potato Fries. This is a recipe I came up with by combining two of my favorite things: sweet potatoes and salt. I don’t eat fries very often because I usually only eat fries when I’m eating at a fast food restaurant. I’ve seen some people make sweet potato fries at home, but they’re too thick and too fluffy, and they don’t taste like the fries I’m used to. I wanted to make a recipe that tastes just like the fries I’d get at fast food restaurants, but healthier. Salted Honey Sweet Potato Fries are crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. I used a lot of salt because I love the flavor of salt, but you can use less if you’re

New Year’s is often the time to overhaul your diet and shed those unwanted pounds. But doing so can be hard to stick to when you’re looking for something tasty to eat. During a hectic week, I often get stuck when it comes to preparing side dishes for my family. Normally, I’d serve rice, steamed vegetables, or a baked potato. I wanted to let you know about a fantastic chance to expand your horizons on the sidelines with only a little creativity. Honey isn’t something I think of when I think of fries, but it’s great on them! Adding salt on the top made it even more delectable. These are four components that most of us have on hand at some time… mix it up and try something new. You will not be sorry.

Are sweet potatoes good for you?

Sweet potatoes are an adaptable root vegetable that may be cooked in a variety of ways. Fiber, vitamins, and minerals abound in them. Antioxidants protect your body from free radical damage and chronic illness. Sweet potatoes are high in antioxidants like beta-carotene and anthocyanins, which may help prevent eyesight loss and enhance eye health.

What is an air fryer and how does it work?

An air fryer is a kind of convection oven that cooks food by circulating hot air around whatever is inside. It’s a convection oven with a smaller size. A motorized fan circulates hot air over the food at a fast speed, frying it and creating a crispy coating that gives it the appearance of being fried. It’s a far healthier alternative than deep-frying anything. If you’re short on counter space, most ovens offer a convection setting!

Our Salted Honey Sweet Potato Fries are made using the following ingredients.

  • 2 lb. sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1.5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons honey

To create our Salted Honey Sweet Potato Fries, follow these steps:

Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

While the air fryer is heating up, wash the sweet potatoes and cut them into 3 inch strips. Leave the skin on since it adds to the flavor!

Toss the raw sweet potato spears in the olive oil in a dish. Place in the air fryer in a single layer.

Cook for 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. This may require many batches. You don’t want the fries to contact or overlap, since this will result in a mushy fry rather than a beautiful crispy one. Drizzle the honey over the top once it’s finished cooking and mix gently. Serve with a pinch of salt.

**If you don’t have an air fryer, follow the same steps in a convection oven!
