Have you ever been in a food coma after eating your favorite fast food? If so, you know its frustrating to feel hungry even after you’ve eaten. If you’re new to the keto diet, you may be wondering if you can have your fast food fix on keto. The answer is a quick and easy YES — but you’ll have to make it from scratch. Take your favorite keto-friendly fast food and turn it into a keto-friendly salad.
It’s been a long time since I’ve had a McDonald’s hamburger. Back in the early 2000s, I was a picky eater, and a low-fat diet meant no greasy burgers or fat-filled french fries. The result? Once I changed my diet, I couldn’t stop eating McDonald’s fries. I learned my lesson, and over the years, I’ve developed a taste for salads. I’m a big fan of them, and I’ve been known to eat them as often as possible.
It’s been said that there are certain foods that evoke an emotional response, and when you love a fast food meal, the craving is no different. Pastrami sandwiches and chicken and waffles are just a couple of the foods that evoke a strong sensation in your stomach, sending you into a frenzy for a quick fix.
Get your Big Mac fix without all of the calories and carbohydrates!
I’m craving a Big Mac just thinking about it… Special sauces and flavor combinations that will make your taste buds dance with delight! I’m drooling right now.
The good news is that you can have your Big Mac and eat it, too, albeit in the shape of a keto-friendly salad. This delicious Keto Big Mac Salad will fulfill your hunger and leave you feeling satisfied.
This unique sauce will be used on everything.
The Big Mac “special sauce” is simple to make and only requires a few items that you may already have on hand, such as mustard, dill pickles, and mayonnaise.
If you can, make this sauce ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to use it. After a little hang time, the flavors really come together. You may use any leftover sauce as a dipping sauce for vegetables or poultry. It’s fantastic on just about everything.
It’s simple and quick.
The Keto Big Mac Salad is one of my favorites since everything can be put together in just a few steps. It doesn’t have to be meticulously separated and combined with a million other ingredients to be delicious.
This dish serves 4-6 people, but it may easily be doubled to accommodate more. It’s also a wonderful leftover dinner, so don’t be afraid to eat the leftovers for lunch the next day (I did!).
Add tomato and sesame seeds to your salad for added flavor if you prefer them on your burgers.
The most time you’ll spend on this dish is chopping onions and cooking ground beef. Once that’s done, you can quickly make your Big Mac sauce and the remainder of the salad.
Keep in mind that we’re saving time by using store-bought no-sugar-added Ketchup in the Big Mac sauce, but you could instead use our homemade keto ketchup.
Prepare to delve in!
To avoid the cooked meat falling to the bottom of the salad bowl, keep it separate from the salad mixture until ready to serve.
Drizzle your Big Mac sauce on top of the salad mixture and dig in!

Sauce for Big Macs:
- mayonnaise (1/2 cup)
- 2 tbsp. ketchup (sugar-free)
- 1 tablespoon mustard (normal or dijon) (for an added kick)
- 7-10 drops stevia liquid
- 1 tablespoon chopped dill pickles
- 1 tablespoon finely diced onions
- 4 cups lettuce, chopped (iceberg, romaine, or butter lettuce are great options)
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon powdered onion
- a quarter teaspoon of garlic powder
- salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- a quarter cup of dill pickles
- 14 cup chopped tomatoes (optional)
- 14 pound bacon bits (optional)
To make the sauce, chop the onions and pickles and place them in a small dish. Mix together the mayonnaise, mustard, sugar-free ketchup, and liquid stevia until smooth. I suggest chilling this sauce for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld properly.
Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until it browns. Season with onion powder, garlic powder, and salt & pepper, remove from heat.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped lettuce. Combine the onions, pickles, and shredded cheese in a mixing bowl. You may also add additional burger staples, like as tomatoes or bacon, at this point.
Divide the salad mixture among four bowls, then top with 1/4 cup ground beef and the special Big Mac sauce.
