1 tbsp / 21g Dried Active Yeast – 2 tsp quick yeast may be used as a replacement.
1 cup / 250ml warm milk – The milk should be about 37 degrees Celsius or 97 degrees Fahrenheit. You don’t need a thermometer; just check that it’s warm but not hot.
30g Sugar (2 tbsp)
Bread Flour (3 1/4 Cups / 400g) — Bread flour is also known as high-grade flour. It has more protein, which causes gluten to form in the bread. If you don’t have bread flour, you may use all-purpose flour instead.
1 teaspoon (5 grams) salt
60g/4 tbsp Softened Butter – Make sure your butter is at room temperature before mixing it into the batter.

Dough Preparation
Combine the yeast, sugar, warm milk, and egg in a small bowl. Toss everything together with a fork until it’s thoroughly combined. Allow 10-15 minutes for the yeast to activate and get frothy in the mixture.
If you’re preparing the bread by hand, combine the flour and salt in a large mixing basin or the bowl of your stand mixer. Cut the room temperature butter into tiny pieces and place it in the mixing bowl as well.
Pour the yeast into the bowl with the remaining ingredients when it is frothy and bubbling. Combine all of the ingredients in a mixer or with a wooden spoon until a dough forms. Knead for approximately 10 minutes, or until the dough is soft, smooth, and elastic.
In a clean dish, add approximately 1/2 teaspoon of oil and the dough. Cover with a tea towel or plastic wrap and let aside for 1-3 hours to double in volume.
Creating a Dough
Punch the air out of the dough after it has doubled in size. Sprinkle flour on your work area and tip out the dough. Roll out the dough into a big rectangle using a rolling pin, approximately 1cm or 1/2′′ thick.
Spread Nutella equally over the dough and firmly wrap it up from the long side of the rectangle.
Cut the dough roll in half with a sharp knife to reveal the layers of dough and Nutella. This will assist hold the bread in place if you don’t cut all the way to the end.
Twist one half of the dough around the other side, then continue until you reach the end. Make a wreath out of the dough’s ends by bringing them together. To keep the dough together, press it together.
Nutella Bread in the Oven
Cover with a wet tea towel or plastic wrap and place on a prepared baking sheet. Allow 1-2 hours in a warm area to double in size.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit). Preheat the oven to 200°F and bake the Nutella Twist for 15-20 minutes, or until it puffs up and begins to color. Allow it to cool fully before sprinkling powdered sugar on top.
