|1 chopped yellow onion|
|1 pound (450 gram) chuck or round beef, sliced into bite-size pieces|
|1 tblsp. soy sauce|
|6 quarts water|
|2 big white potatoes, peeled and chopped into bite-size pieces|
|1 teaspoon of soy sauce|
|sugar (half a spoonful)|
|black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon|
|a handful of cilantro, chopped|
Beef and Potato Soup Recipe Instructions
- Fill a large soup pot halfway with water and bring to a boil. When the pan is heated, add the oil, garlic, onion, meat, and soy sauce, and swirl to combine.
- Cook until the meat is cooked, then add the water.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, until the potato is cooked.
- Fish sauce, sugar, and black pepper are used to season the dish.
- Serve with chopped cilantro on top.
Serve immediately with rice or warm toast.
