HCG Phase 2 Chipotle Asparagus Soup

On the HCG Phase 2 diet, nothing beats a cup of excellent soup for comfort and warmth. Soup is a satisfying and tasty way to eat your hCG diet veggies, and it’s one of my favorite ways to help you stay on the P2 VLCD and avoid hunger pains (Phase 2 Very Low Calorie Diet). This HCG phase 2 dish for Chipotle Asparagus Soup was one of my faves on P2. I like the spicy, smokey taste and find it to be an excellent way to prepare asparagus.

If you’re eating chicken or beef for dinner, one way to make this dish even more delicious is to use chicken or beef broth instead of water. Keep in mind that variety is the spice of life, and one of the secrets to weight loss success is making your hCG Diet meals exciting, tasty, and fascinating! HCG Phase 2 Chipotle Asparagus Soup Recipe

 

Ingredients

Chipotle Asparagus Soup for HCG Phase 2 Ingredients Asparagus, Garlic, Chipotle, Cilantro, and Lemon

Ingredients for HCG Phase 2 Chipotle Asparagus Soup

6-8 asparagus spears, medium

1 quart of water

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1/8 teaspoon chipotle chili powder

1 garlic clove, smashed and minced

3 dabs of liquid smoke (substitute smoked salt)

Cilantro, fresh

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Directions

Steam asparagus until just tender in a little amount of water (do not overcook). In a food processor or blender, puree steamed asparagus, liquids (asparagus water and lemon juice), chipotle chile, liquid smoke, garlic, and 1-2 sprigs of fresh cilantro. My bullet blender is what I use. Warm gently in a small saucepan. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve with fresh cilantro as a garnish.
