With chorizo, jalapeos, and guacamole, give your burgers a Mexican twist.
This Burger with Chorizo and Guacamole and Jalapeos packs a flavorful and spicy punch, while the guacamole keeps it cold and creamy. Burgers have developed into customized concoctions that are an all-American favorite. They’re great for parties since everyone can add their own toppings and burgers don’t take long to prepare. Because it has the right mix of heat and fat from the chorizo, I adore the Mexican touch on this chorizo burger.
To create the Chorizo Burger, follow these steps:
I used beef chorizo and cooked it in a cast iron pan before draining the oil and chilling it. After the chorizo has cooled, carefully combine it with the ground beef. If you overmix the meat, the burger will be excessively thick. Season both sides of 4 even burgers with salt and pepper. Because the patties will shrink while cooking, a smart burger tip is to make it larger than the bread. Make a tiny indention in the center of the patties to keep them from blowing up.
Cook the patties to your preferred temperature on a grill or in a cast iron pan. Because the chorizo is already cooked, the burgers may be served medium. I like to cook the burgers in cast iron since the crust forms nicely on the exterior. I keep the guacamole simple by using just avocado, lime, and salt. Add sliced tomatoes, jalapeos, lettuce, and guacamole, then top with sliced cheese or, in my case, no cheese. Serve with fries for a delicious summertime dinner.

Avocado should be mashed with a fork and mixed with lime juice and a pinch of salt to taste.
