The key is baking powder, which Matthew has developed into a simple yet guaranteed crispy wing cooking technique. We used to simply pat meats dry with paper towels before frying, but sprinkling the wings with baking powder and grilling them at a low temperature for half the time guarantees the crispiest wing every time! 

After the first 20-30 minutes, raise the oven temperature to finish cooking them before tossing them with your preferred spices!

Easy Baked Chicken Wings

Wings are always a good choice for supper, particularly when they’re this simple to prepare. We’ve given you our personal favorite, but the options are limitless. The Garlic Parmesan is self-explanatory, but feel free to add more Parmesan, parsley, or butter if desired.

Add extra bacon, chili powder for a kick, or even entire garlic cloves to the oven with the wings. If you’re stuck for supper ideas, try these simple baked chicken wings since you can never have too many!

Two Ways to Make Easy Baked Chicken Wings

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Dry the wings (and tear them down if desired) before placing them in a ziploc bag. Shake the wings in the bag with the baking powder and salt to completely coat them.

  • Place them in a single layer on a baking rack on a baking sheet and bake them for 20 minutes. Increase the heat to 450°F and continue to cook for another 30 minutes, or until browned and crispy.

  • Cook in a skillet by slicing each piece of bacon into thirds. Remove from the equation.

  • In a small saucepan, boil the bacon drippings and butter until the butter has melted. Combine the salt and pepper, then remove from the fire.

  • In a large Tupperware, combine the cooked wings and fried bacon strips. Pour the butter sauce over the wings and bacon, along with the parsley and Parmesan. Close the container and shake it vigorously until everything is thoroughly covered.

  • Serve right away and enjoy!
