Goulash is one of the most popular dishes in the world – if not the most popular. Typically made with beef, goulash recipes vary in the other ingredients used, but the main ingredients are always beef and vegetables. This recipe for beef goulash is one of my favourite types of goulash, and is both very simple and very satisfying.

I have been cooking since I was a child and I can still remember my mother making a homemade goulash and my father getting out the smoker and “smoking” our meals. I’ve tried a lot of recipes over the years, some have been good some not so good. This one is truly the best.

Beef is the love of my life. Some would argue I have too many beef recipes in my repertoire, but I’ll save that for another day. Today I bring you a hearty goulash that is perfect for chilly, dreary days. It’s an easy weeknight meal that is perfect for eating at your desk after work, or watching your favorite program while you eat a bowl full of comfort food.
