Bean curd is a traditional Chinese dish that also happens to be one of my family’s favorite. It is a popular dish in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Hot Preserved Bean Curd Sauce

One of the most popular vegetarian meals among Sino-Khmer is preserved bean curd or fermented soybean. This spicy bean curd sauce is excellent for dipping cooked or raw veggies in.

Ingredients

1 tblsp lime juice, freshly squeezed    
sugar (one spoonful)    
4 spicy chili peppers, diced, or to taste (option)    
1 small jar of hot preserved bean curd, 4 oz (113 g)    

To create Hot Preserved Bean Curd Sauce, follow these instructions.

  1. Mix lime juice with sugar in a small bowl until sugar is dissolved, then add hot chili pepper, stir, then add preserve bean curd and gently combine.
  2. Serve with rice and veggies, cooked or raw.
