One Pan Shrimp Pasta

Shrimp is the perfect little ingredient to show off here, since it’s loaded with protein and is a mild, sweet flavor that will pair well with the mushrooms and garlic. But it’s not just about the shrimp, it’s about the sauce too! A quick and easy tomato sauce is all that’s needed for a delicious and protein-filled pasta that will please even the pickiest of eaters.

In this easy shrimp dish you’ll find tender pasta, sautéed shrimp, garlic and onions, and the simplicity of just one pan to make it all come together.

A friend of mine gave me this recipe last week, and it was delicious. The garlic and lemon combined with the sweet shrimp makes the whole dish feel like a spring roll, but with pasta instead of rice paper. If you’re not into the whole raw food thing, feel free to use a zucchini or even a regular spaghetti squash.. Read more about garlic butter shrimp pasta and let us know what you think.

I sometimes feel like I’m caught in a rut and prepare the same same dishes over and over again. Just because it sounded simple, I’ve been on a “chicken” craze. My family was underwhelmed. So I went looking for something a little different, but still healthy, easy, and delicious. This was just what I needed! Only 6 ingredients, lots of savory tastes, and a new taste that my family hadn’t tried before… they were ecstatic, as was I, since it was new and delicious, and it took less than 25 minutes to prepare! It was a win-win situation for all of us!

Do I have to use raw shrimp for this?

Initially, I would say yes, without a doubt. The reason for this is because while it cooks, it absorbs the tastes of the capers, olives, and garlic, enhancing the overall flavor of the meal. If you use precooked shrimp, all you need to do is reheat it before serving. It’s all up to you! However, we suggest using raw shrimp to make this the best it can be!

Is this shrimp spaghetti good for you?

It all depends on what you’re comparing it to. Many recipes call for a lot of cheese, cream, and butter. This is not one of them! The carbohydrates in angel hair pasta are high (as they are in other pastas), but that’s where it ends! Capers, tomatoes, garlic, and shrimp are all beneficial to your health. If health is a priority for you, you could definitely use zoodles to make this extremely healthy!

Ingredients for our Shrimp Pasta in One Pan:

  • Pasta with Angel Hair
  • Garlic, minced
  • Capers
  • Olives Kalamata
  • raw shrimp
  • Petite Diced Tomatoes in a Can

How to prepare our Shrimp Pasta in One Pan:

Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Angel hair pasta is fantastic since it just takes 4 minutes to cook and is very light and flavorful.

Drain the pasta and put it aside. In a big skillet, heat the oil on medium for 1-2 minutes.

Add the minced garlic, diced olives, and capers in a slow, steady stream. Give it a good swirl to ensure that all of the ingredients are evenly distributed. Allow for 2-3 minutes of cooking time, stirring periodically.

This week, I made a quick and easy one pot meal that uses shrimp, white beans, and some vegetables. This is my first time making shrimp in white sauce, but I thought it was pretty good—I’m not eating white chicken sauce anytime soon, but I think this would be a good alternative if you don’t have any shrimp..
