I often create curried egg salad using hard-boiled eggs, but my personal favorite is one of these Keto deviled egg dishes.

They’re not only fast and simple to make, but they’re also high in fat, which we all want in our diet. You may prepare a complete meal with 6 big eggs or a festive snack with 24 eggs.

What is the origin of the name “deviled eggs”?

Hard-boiled eggs, believe it or not, date back to ancient Rome. As an appetizer, they were often served as cooked eggs with spicy sauce. Hard-boiled eggs did not become popular until the 15th century. The egg yolk had its initial appearance in the nineteenth century, when humans started crushing the yolk to create an egg filling.

Only in the 18th and 19th centuries did the name become widespread. It gained popularity in the nineteenth century, when spicy foods were dubbed devils. Because hot mustard was often used, they soon gained a reputation as devil’s food.

Hard-boiled egg recipe with a twist

The traditional deviled eggs have a few minor modifications, but for the most part, they speak for themselves. To create virgin eggs, peel a hard-boiled egg, split it in half lengthwise, and fill it with a mayonnaise and mustard egg yolk combination.

Pickled cucumbers, Dijon mustard, vinegar, and, of course, paprika are all common additions to traditional virgin eggs. Some people believe that smoked paprika is a must-have ingredient.

Here are some of our favorite takes on the traditional egg dish.

Eggs stuffed with bacon and chile


I picked bacon and chives for these keto eggs because I had both in the fridge and thought their tastes would complement each other well. Who doesn’t enjoy eggs and bacon, after all? The beauty of this recipe is that you can make it with any two, three, or four ingredients you have on hand, or whatever is left in the refrigerator. The egg yolk and mayonnaise flavors are so mild that anything you add becomes the star of the meal.


You may not like filled eggs, but believe me when I say that if you enhance the flavor, you will not be able to resist. Matt dislikes mayonnaise, as some of you may know from our films.

In fact, he declined to taste my keto eggs first, which is something he never does. After some convincing, he agreed, and we were both surprised that he liked her!

Sriracha hard-boiled egg recipe

This is the second in a series of egg recipes. Why? You must be fascinated with it as well, because I am! What’s not to like about hard-boiled eggs with mayonnaise? You may make it even more tasty by adding other ingredients.

Do you recall the term “deviled eggs”? The eggs appear diabolical in this recipe.


The beauty of this dish is how fast and simple it is to prepare. Hard-boiled eggs, mayonnaise, Sriracha, and a pinch of salt and pepper are all you need.

The most difficult aspect is resisting the want to eat them while they’re cooking. Before they arrive to the meeting I bring them to, I always put a few in. People are also amazed and enthusiastic about these keto eggs, particularly if you add a shriracha touch.


Sriracha sauce is an essential item that should be kept on hand in every household. Shame on you if you don’t have it; if you do, we’d be great pals. I usually combine it with mayonnaise and use it to make a breakfast sandwich, a burger, or even a pork rind dipping sauce.

It adds so much flavor and spice to this dish that if you don’t mind a little heat, I suggest adding more than the quantity stated in the recipe!


Curry with eggs

This is the third recipe we’ve tried, and it’s one of my personal favorites. We have the simplest and most delicious curry recipe for you, as you may have predicted!

Curry powder is something we have on hand at all times. We even go out and get a new container before the last one runs empty. We use it in burgers, chicken, cauliflower, and other dishes. It elevates the taste of any meal to new heights!

Avocado and eggs

Our avocado eggs are the last dish in our keto egg series! This recipe nearly stands on its own since it has a special characteristic that I’ll explain later. The following three items are often used in keto-friendly home cooking: Cream, eggs, and avocado If your home is one of them, you may go in the kitchen right now and prepare this delicious hard-boiled egg dish!


Mayonnaise-free eggs

This dish differs from the other two keto egg recipes in that it does not utilize the typical egg yolk, mayonnaise, and mustard combination. To achieve the creamy, fatty texture of a traditional hard-boiled egg filling, sour cream is used instead. Giving up mayonnaise isn’t a huge deal in this dish since it’s still rich in fat and keto-friendly! There’s a reason we keep sour cream and avocado in the home.


The fact that keto boiled eggs are a fantastic low-carb snack is something we truly appreciate about them. They are appropriate for any formal or casual event, are simple to make, and, frankly, are very delicious.

You can also spice it up by adding spices or a sauce, like we did with our curry hard boiled eggs and shriracha hard boiled eggs! The most essential piece of advice for cooking these meals is to enjoy yourself. You can’t go wrong with additional ingredients!

Recipe for Keto Boiled Eggs

Until recently, cooking keto eggs has always been a problem for me. The egg yolk combination, which makes this dish devilish, was my greatest worry. What’s the best way to figure out how much of each component to use? Why are there different ratios on every website? There were a lot of directions, but the technique was unclear.

I’ve never found instructions simple to follow, therefore I’ve avoided making them out of fear of them being badly done. However, the reality is that the deviled egg recipe is completely free in terms of component proportions!

How do you stuff the protein?

Stuff keto eggs using this easy technique. However, you simply place the egg yolks in a ziplock bag (piping bag), crimp it into a corner, snip the piping bag’s end, and fold the mixture into the beaten egg.

We haven’t tried the alternative technique, but splitting the eggs in half lengthwise is a good idea.

So if you don’t have a piping bag and attachments, it’s easier! These avocado eggs are filled with fat and flavor in every mouthful, so give them a try!

How to quickly peel hard-boiled eggs

If the eggs are difficult to peel, making keto eggs will be difficult. Making keto eggs is really the most difficult aspect. Your hard-boiled eggs will be simpler to peel if you follow these guidelines.

I don’t believe it’s unfair to assume that everyone of us has struggled with peeling a boiled egg at some time in our lives. This does not have to be the case. This job may be made easier with the use of a technique.

First, whether the egg’s age has a role is a point of contention. We assume that new eggs are less clean than older eggs, but this isn’t necessarily the case. Cooking method seems to have a larger impact.

Start with boiling water, don’t overcook them, then plunge them into cold water or an ice bath and wash them under running water.

What causes watery cooked eggs?

If your keto eggs are standing in water when you take them out to serve, there are a few easy reasons. The most probable explanation is that the eggs still had water on them from the washing procedure.

Another possibility is that they were put in a warm storage container, creating moisture. Before keeping eggs in the refrigerator, be sure they are at room temperature.

What is the best way to preserve boiled eggs?

It goes without saying that food safety is paramount, therefore eggs should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. They typically last for two to three days before beginning to disintegrate.

We make keto eggs many times a year and have never had any storage or spoilage problems, but since the yolks include perishable food components, it’s better not to keep them out at ambient temperature for more than 2-3 hours.

Keto hard-boiled eggs

  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and sliced in half
  • Separate the yolks from all of the halves and smash them in a separate dish.
  • Select a supplement from the list below.
  • Fill each hole in the egg white with a little amount of the egg yolk mixture.
  • Consume right away or keep refrigerated. Have a blast!

Bacon-and-chili hard-boiled eggs

  • To make the dressing, whisk together the mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper. Combine the bacon and chives in a mixing bowl.
  • Garnish with chives and a slice of bacon.

Avocado and eggs

  • To make the filling, puree the avocado and combine it with the sour cream, lime juice, cayenne pepper, and salt in a mixing bowl. Combine.
  • Serve with a jalapeo slice as a garnish.
