Eating healthy always seems to be such a hassle—and so much of the time, we end up eating packaged foods that are high in sodium and sugar. Over time, these additives can lead to a healthier lifestyle, but it can be difficult to wean ourselves off of those packaged foods completely. (And even if you do, rest assured you’re still eating like a fat *** .) What can you do to improve your eating habits?

Unstuffed Egg Rolls served with 4 Spicy Pepper Sauce. Ingredients : 1 1/4 cups chopped jicama (Use the jicama that is peeled and cut into short sticks so as not to lose any pieces. Soak the jicama sticks in water for 30 minutes before using. *Note, the jicama that is peeled and cut into short sticks is not called jicama sticks) 1 slice of pork loin 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice 3 tablespoons chopped green onions 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce 1 teaspoon olive oil 2 tablespoons cornstarch 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper in a bowl mix the hoisin sauce, lime juice, and green onions.

This weekend while scrolling through my news feed I came across a recipe that I had not seen before. It was one that I thought would be really good for a fiesta, but I wanted it to be more than just a typical stuffed egg roll. I told myself that I should really try to make something different, and yet I was also a little intimidated because I didn’t think it would be possible. This dish is so popular that people constantly asking for it! It is, without a doubt, one of my most popular dishes. It’s popular since it’s low carb, diabetic-friendly, and keto-friendly. This is a must-try dish if you’re searching for something new to add to your healthy meal.

Egg Rolls with No Filling have the same flavor as your favorite Chinese takeout, but they are considerably healthier. So, the next time you want egg rolls but want to stay on track with your diet, give this a try. It’s very tasty and well worth the effort! My kids like this meal, and it’s quickly become a household favorite. If there are any leftovers, my daughter will bring them to school in a thermos the following day. Because it’s such a hit at our home, I typically double the recipe when I make it now.

In addition, I prefer to use hot sausage in this dish. To add even more flavor, use half spicy sausage and half normal sausage. Feel free to add additional spices if desired. Every time I prepare this meal, I like to experiment with various spices and tastes to discover which ones I like the most.   • 1 coleslaw mix bag
  • Pork sausage, 1 pound
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 1 tsp salt (adjusted to taste)

Instructions

 

 

  • In a big pan, brown the sausage and then put the other ingredients on top.

  • Cook for 5 minutes on medium heat, covered, on the stovetop.

  • Remove the cover, give it a good stir/toss, and taste it.

  • Finish to your liking in terms of flavor and texture.
