3 Ingredient Blueberry Dump Cake

Everyone loves blueberry, right? In this recipe, I decided to use the sweet fruit in place of chocolate chips and the ever-elusive “whipped cream” filling for the frosting. Blueberry-filled pastry is one of my favorite desserts, but I’ve found that making my own is a bit of a challenge. I usually get something that’s more like a blueberry cobbler than the soft, light-as-air blueberry muffin that a real baker would make. So, I decided to give it a shot.

A dense, creamy cake filled with a tangy, sweet blueberry filling. You won’t believe that it’s made with only 3 ingredients. It’s perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert!

What exactly is a ‘dump cake’?

A dump cake derives its name from the fact that all of the ingredients are actually dumped together. In most cases, there is no mixing or stirring. All you have to do is pour, bake, and eat! It doesn’t get much more straightforward than that!

How long does a dump cake keep without being refrigerated?

If you follow these guidelines, a dump cake may survive for 4-5 days on the counter: The cake must be securely wrapped and kept at a temperature of about 72 degrees Fahrenheit. It may also be kept in the refrigerator securely wrapped.
