Homemade Keto Caesar Dressing
I recently had to make a Caesar salad for a friend, and I had to make a keto version of it. I had a hard time figuring out how to make the dressing, so I searched online for a recipe, but couldn’t find one that looked good enough to use. So I decided to make my own. It was pretty easy, and it tastes just like the real thing.
For many years, the keto diet has been widely popular, embraced by celebrities, and even the White House. The diet has been hailed for increasing energy and weight loss while lowering cholesterol levels. But, there’s a big catch: Keto requires strict meal plans and careful monitoring.
If you’re new to low carb eating or have been restricted to serving size portions of store bought dressings, then this keto caesar dressing recipe is for you. I’ve been making this easy and popular salad dressing recipe for years, and I love that it’s perfect for low carb eating. It’s super simple to make, and it’s delicious as a dip for cauliflower, lettuce, and other vegetables.
Anchovies are wonderful, but Caesar dressing is not. So, without anchovies or raw egg, how can we create a wonderful keto Caesar dressing the conventional way? You’d think getting the precise taste would be difficult, but we achieved it with this recipe! You won’t be able to tell the difference, we guarantee.
Side Dishes with a Lot of Fat
When your meal turns into a protein feast and you’re short on fats, adding a high-fat side dish like this Caesar salad may help you balance things out. If salad isn’t your thing, try these alternative high-fat keto side dishes:
- Biscuits in the Air Fryer
- Zucchini Gratin (Cheesy Zucchini Gratin)
- Cauliflower Casserole with a Toasted Toasted Toasted Toasted Toasted To
Any high-protein main meal will benefit from those keto side dishes, which will add fat and taste.
What Kinds of Oils Should You Look For?
Salad dressings and condiments are a wonderful way to include fat in your meals. Most store-bought dressings, on the other hand, include harmful vegetable oils rich in Omega 6s. The issue with using vegetable oils like soybean, canola, or sunflower oil in salad dressings is that you’re eating a lot of them, even in only 2 tablespoons.
For that reason, searching for dressings using avocado, olive, or coconut oil as a basis, or better yet, creating your own at home, is the preferable option. We used an avocado oil-based mayonnaise for this recipe, which can be purchased online or in stores. Even though it is more expensive than regular mayonnaise, you can’t put a price on your health!
