Keto at Panda Express? Here’s the Best [Sort Of] Low Carb Order Option
In a previous article, I covered the best low carb options at Panda Express, but I realized that I never addressed the topic of keto at the Chinese fast food chain. In this article, I will bring you the best keto options at Panda Express, so you can eat your low carb and hopefully lose some weight.
Keto (Low Carb) is a popular diet choice in the health and fitness world. It’s a low-carb, high-fat diet that allows for the consumption of plenty of protein, while restricting or severely limiting carbohydrates. The diet has been rapidly growing in popularity over the past few years, especially with the rise of the keto diet being “the craze”. But how much do you really know about this high-fat diet?
With so many popular keto-friendly fast food restaurants in the U.S., it’s hard to determine which one has the best options for those interested in following the keto diet, with varying opinions on which low carb menu items are the best to order.
Do you like eating fast food?
Panda Express, oh Panda Express. When I’m searching for fast and simple meals on the move, I always gravitate for their excellent orange chicken, fried rice, peking mince, and noodles.
Unfortunately, these delectable meals, like nearly all of Panda Express’ offerings, are high in carbohydrates and not keto-friendly. There are 51 grams of carbohydrates in the orange chicken alone, not including the rice and noodles. That’s more than twice what many keto dieters attempt to consume on a daily basis!
We used the Panda Express nutrition guide to come up with an ideal low-carb order of about 13 grams of pure carbs. While Panda isn’t ideal and is often regarded as filthy keto, you may still eat there as a last option without going over your daily macros.
Here’s what you can have at Panda Express for a low-carb meal:
I want to prepare a bowl of super veggies (a mix of kale, broccoli and collards) with grilled teriyaki chicken – sans sauce.
Although the nutritional information shown at checkout on PandaExpress.com estimates this dish to have 18 grams of carbohydrates, the net carbs after fiber are really 13 grams.
390 calories | 42 g protein | 4 g fat | 18 total carbohydrates | 5 g fiber | 13 g net carbs | Teriyaki Grilled Chicken Bowl with Supergreens (without sauce)

Several years ago I went low carb. However, I haven’t been able to maintain that level, so I’m planning on going back. The major stumbling block has been the lack of options in my area. I’m not a fan of eating at Panda Express because, well, it’s Panda Express. I know they have low carb options, but I don’t like the price of their stuff. What’s going on? I think we should start a new low carb chain that focuses on, you know, being healthy…. Read more about panda express super greens keto and let us know what you think.
