Putting Together The Dip

You should always use room temperature ingredients while constructing any dip, whether it’s cold or hot. If the cream cheese in this dish was cold, it wouldn’t mix well with the sour cream and you’d end up with pieces of cream cheese. Because some of the components will be at room temperature, you’ll want to prepare it ahead of time so you can refrigerate it before serving!

The Dip’s Presentation

Dippers are required for serving a dip. The possibilities are limitless for your high-carb friends and family, but tortilla chips or pita chips will always suffice. But what about those of us who follow a low-carb diet? So, with this recipe, I created a super-quick low-carb chip recipe using low-carb tortillas, which I’ll show you how to make below. Serve it with a variety of vegetables or flax seed crackers!

To make the low-carb tortilla chips, combine all of the ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut your low carb tortilla into triangles and arrange them on the baking pan so that they don’t touch.
  3. Bake for 5-7 minutes after spraying both sides with coconut oil spray (watch them because they will burn quickly if left unattended).
  4. For a crispy, browned tortilla chip, turn the heat to broil for 1-2 minutes, keeping an eye on them.
  5. Serve right away! On the counter, keep in a zip top bag.

Onion Dip in French (Easy)

You have no excuse this holiday season with how simple it is to create low carb tortilla chips.
