Steak tips are often made up of cubes of smaller tendons. The flap steak, which may also be purchased whole, is the most delicious of these muscle parts. Because it originates from sections of the animal that aren’t typically marketed separately, steak tips are usually an inexpensive cut of beef. These slices, however, are among the most delectable.
Tips on how to prepare steak
Grilling steak tips is one of my favorite ways to prepare them. Because they are smaller slices, they cook fast, and the grill’s additional char adds a lot of flavor. If you don’t have space for a grill, or if you want to make these in the winter, I cook the meat in a cast iron pan and finish it under the broiler to keep the little sear on the exterior. Either technique yields a delectable outcome.
Steak tips: what to eat
White rice with a little butter is my favorite side dish with steak tips. It’s so easy, yet it’s so delicious. Onions, peppers, and other grilled veggies go well with steak tips and may frequently be prepared at the same time. Most starchy or green vegetables would go good with steak tips, but I wouldn’t recommend serving it with anything you wouldn’t usually eat with meat.
What is the purpose of marinating steak tips?
Not only will marinating steak tips give them a richer taste, but it will also tenderize the flesh. Because this is a smaller cut of meat, it is more likely to dry out if not marinated. However, you do not need to marinade this cut for an extended period of time. Because it’s a smaller cut, it’ll soak up the marinade faster. I marinate steak tips for at least 1 hour and up to 24 hours.
