One Pan Chicken Fajitas
One Pan Chicken Fajitas Since the late nineties, I have been making a fajitas recipe that is so good, it’s hard to keep a lid on it. This recipe is super easy, and it’s perfect for weeknight dinners or entertaining. You can make a huge batch and have plenty of left overs.
In today’s busy weeknights, it’s easy to grab takeout food. However, it can also be expensive. This week I decided to take on a weeknight dinner challenge: no takeout food and no frozen foods. Along the way, I learned that you don’t need to spend a lot of money to make a delicious meal. You can make delicious, healthy meals at home for much cheaper than you think.
While many of my friends love cooking and baking, I’m not one of them. A few years ago, I bought my first crock pot and started using it regularly to whip up dinners after work. Then, when I found myself with a little extra cash, I bought a cast iron skillet for things like searing chops or frying potatoes. Now, I make most of my food from scratch, and I’m trying to learn as much as I can about cooking. This “One Pan Chicken Fajitas” recipe is a great place to start.. With just five ingredients and one pan, you can make a full dinner. Please, yes! Our One-Pan Chicken Fajitas are perfect for a hectic weeknight. Place chopped peppers and onions on a sheet pan, top with chicken, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, and season with fajita seasoning! Dinner is ready after 30 minutes in the oven!
In the Tucker household, Mexican cuisine is a perennial favorite. It’s almost a food category in and of itself. We would have to plan ahead for fajitas because we were short on time. That is no longer the case! What I like about this recipe is that I can toss everything in the oven and go do something else for 30 minutes. When the timer goes off, all that’s left to do is rough cut the chicken and stuff it into a tortilla for supper!
What are some excellent fajita toppings?
There are so many delicious toppings for fajitas. Cheese is the most popular option. To add some additional heat, we use Monterey Jack or pepper jack cheese. Salsa, sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, queso, black olives, and guacamole are all excellent toppings. We like to sprinkle some rough-chopped cilantro on top of our fajitas.
Our One-Pan Chicken Fajitas are made with the following ingredients:
- 1 green, 1 red, and 1 yellow bell pepper
- 1 medium sweet onion
- 1 fajita seasoning packet
- 2 pound tenderloins of chicken
How to do it:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Set aside a baking sheet that has been greased.
All three peppers should be washed and sliced into strips. After that, thinly slice the onion.
Arrange the veggies in an equal layer on the baking sheet. The chicken tenders should then be washed and dried. Assemble them on top of the vegetables.
Drizzle the olive oil over all of the ingredients in an equal layer. Last, add the fajita seasoning.
Preheat oven to 350°F and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven when the timer goes off.
Cut the chicken into strips and serve on a tortilla right away! Add your favorite fajita enhancers on top!
I’m sure I’ve said it before, but the greatest thing about this dish is how easy it is to make! You also don’t have to give up flavor in the sake of simplicity. With little work but maximum pleasure, our One Pan Chicken Fajitas can serve up to six people. My husband like it as well, especially when we have leftovers and he makes an egg burrito for morning! With our Roasted Street Corn Salad, we turn it into a feast! This delicious and satisfying evening dinner is ideal for your hectic schedule!

One Pan Chicken Fajitas are a great weeknight meal. This is a quick and easy dinner that comes together in one pan and is made with only a few ingredients. When I made this, I thought it was going to be a little bland, but the flavors came together perfectly. You will need some chicken thighs for this recipe. I didn’t have any at the time, so I used boneless skinless chicken breasts. If you have the budget, I would recommend using a bone-in chicken thigh..
