- During the cooking process, gently toss and mix the ingredients once. If necessary, repeat the process.
- Check one final time to see whether the chicken needs more time; if so, toss and cook for another 3 minutes.
- For less crispy broccoli, we offer a second technique. All of the recipe’s specifics, as well as step-by-step photographs, are included here. Enjoy!
Which Air Fryer Is the Best?
There are a lot of them on the market right now. All you have to do now is do some research and discover the ones that best suit your requirements, capacity, and personal flair. The basket type air fryers are divided into two sizes: 3-4 quarts and 5-6 quarts. Here are a few of our favorites:
3.7 qt. Cosori Digital Air Fryer – As we unboxed the Cosori, someone said, “That’s a stylish Air Fryer.” It’s not only elegant, but it’s also delicious to eat. The basket isn’t as tall or as broad as others in its size range, which is ideal. With single layered, spread out meals, you’ll get far better outcomes in an air fryer than with dishes stacked high and thick. Clean up is also a breeze because to the non-stick basket design (non-wire base) and smoothness of the basket tray.
Digital Air Fryer Ninja 4 Qt. – Has a fantastic ceramic coated basket that is one of the most durable we’ve used. This air fryer has a strong fan that can cook dishes quicker than other air fryers. We returned the first one since we didn’t think we’d enjoy the basket style. We purchased another after giving it some thought and are really pleased we did. It has a basket and just a platform insert, which we like. It’s one less item to wash. This air fryer is fantastic.
Air Fryers with a Larger Capacity
5.8 qt. Tiluxury Digital Air Fryer – It’s an excellent bigger air fryer for cooking for larger families, particularly when there’s a lot of food to cook. It’s ideal for large quantities of food (ie 4 salmon fillets instead of 2 or 2 lbs of fries instead of 1). We enjoy the non-stick basket on this Tiluxury 5.8 qt (non-wire base). For delicate dishes, this means less sticking (ie baked fish fillets). We also like the digital interface (easier cleaning).
Gourmia 6 qt. Digital Air Fryer – One of our favorite bigger basket type air fryers is the Gourmia 6 qt. Digital Air Fryer. The basket is a decent size, the controls are excellent, and the food cooks well. It’s fantastic to clean up after yourself. It has quickly become one of our favorite dishes in the kitchen. We often find it at Costco at a fantastic deal!
Broccoli with Chicken in the Air Fryer
15 minutes to prepare
Time allotted: 25 minutes
Because the chicken and broccoli simmer down and shrink, even though the basket seems to be full at first, there will be less volume after everything is done. This recipe does not need preheating the air fryer. Air Frying may be done in two ways: Broccoli will be cooked moderately if the chicken is cooked halfway before adding the vegetables. Another alternative is to air fry everything from the start, which makes the broccoli extremely crispy. Alternatively, you may add the broccoli at any point until it is cooked to your liking. After your first batch, you’ll have a better idea of which technique suits your air fryer and personal preferences.

Combine the broccoli and onions with the chicken in a mixing bowl (make sure to include all the marinade). Continue to Air Fry for another 8-10 minutes at 380°F/195°C, or until the chicken is cooked through. Stir halfway during cooking to ensure that the broccoli is uniformly cooked.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice on top if desired.
Option 2: Charred, Crispy Broccoli
Combine the chicken, broccoli, and onion in a large mixing basin. Toss the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.
Combine oil, garlic powder, ginger, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, optional spicy sauce, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken, broccoli, and onions with the marinade. To mix the marinade with the chicken, broccoli, and onions, stir well.
To air fry, place the items in the air fryer basket or tray. Air fry for 16-20 minutes at 380°F/195°C, stirring and lightly tossing midway through. Toss everything to ensure that everything cooks evenly. Check to see whether the chicken is fully done. Cook for a further 3-5 minutes if necessary.
